Ethiopia’s NDC has three complementary objectives, namely, (1) fostering economic development and growth, (2) ensuring abatement of future emissions by reducing emissions by 64% (255 Mt CO2) below the ‘business-as-usual’ by 2030 and (3) setting priorities for resilience building with a focus on drought, flood and cross cutting intervention.

The objective of Ghana’ NDC is to reduce emissions by 15-45% below business-as-usual (BAU) and strengthen climate resilience in close alignment with its development priorities. In all, 20 mitigation and 11 adaptation actions in 7 priority economic sectors have been committed for implementation in the next 10-year period (2020-2030).
