The inaugural Investment COP will deliver keynotes, panel discussions, presentations by governments and investors on projects and solutions, workshops, informal networking and organized matchmaking. The Investment COP aims to strengthen collaboration across sectors and industries, create new deal flows, and facilitate NDC-related investment in developing countries.

 

Invest4Climate

Invest4Climate is a joint World Bank and UN partnership that offers an unprecedented opportunity to proactively close the climate finance gap by problem-solving climate finance challenges, improving climate finance access, showcasing transformational demonstration and pipeline projects and developing partnerships for financial and technological innovation. By leveraging the convening power of the UN and World Bank, Invest4Climate will bring together diverse public and private stakeholders, including governments, development finance institutions, new infrastructure investment banks, philanthropic foundations, insurance companies and private investors, to achieve high volume impact and investment for climate change.

 

Invest4Climate aims to further mobilize, coordinate, and deliver the finance needed to help countries make the transition to a low-carbon resilient future by:

  • Collaborating with diverse stakeholders to address key climate finance challenges;
  • Showcasing bankable demonstration and pipeline projects from new and traditional sources;
  • Advocating for increased investment across all sectors and regions;
  • Developing partnerships with financial and technology incubators to proactively source innovative solutions to climate change;
  • Increasing deal flow to climate-smart projects and initiatives; and
  • Building country capacity for bankable project development and climate finance access.
