Overview
A Regional Dialogue on Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) for Africa convened representatives from 50 African countries as well as international organizations and technical experts in Rabat, Morocco.
The Dialogue supported countries in the process of moving toward implementation of their nationally determined contributions (NDCs) submitted in the context of the Paris Agreement on climate change.
This event was supported by the Governments of Japan, Norway and the European Union, and is co-organized by UNDP, UNFCCC and the government of Morocco, in coordination with GIZ and the NDC Partnership.

Objectives
- Update on the planning status of NDC implementation, share experiences, best practices, and opportunities and associated challenges in the region.
- Address climate finance needs for NDC implementation and strengthen the role of the private sector in the implementation of NDCs.
- Discuss entry points to integrate gender equality and women’s empowerment into NDC implementation and planning.
