This Training Workshop on Intended Nationally Determined Contributions (INDCs), held in Entebbe, Uganda, was co-organized by UNDP and the International Partnership for Mitigation & MRV. It was held in collaboration with the UNFCCC Secretariat as part of the joint UNDP-UNFCCC INDC Regional Dialogues funded by a number of donors. The workshop brought together representatives of Anglophone and Lusophone African Countries.
Objectives
- Provide participants with in-depth technical training in four thematic areas related to INDC preparation.
- Offer a forum for learning from INDC submissions to date.
- Address pending technical questions related to INDC preparation.
- Improve participants' capacity to prepare and submit INDCs to the UNFCCC Secretariat.
The workshop was organized primarily around four thematic areas run by resource experts. The clinics included practical exercises and relied on case studies of submitted and advanced INDCs in order to illustrate "good practices" or different options related to the clinic topics.
