NDC Partnership member governments are in the process of mapping their technical support needs and identifying opportunities to enact national climate targets or NDCs. In June, three governments hosted strategic dialogues on NDC climate goals with the assistance of the NDC Partnership -- Costa Rica (13-14 June), Uganda (20 June), and Vietnam (28 June).

The goal of the Partnership is to ensure that climate action is fast, effective and ambitious. The governments used the strategic dialogues to unpack priorities and gaps for NDC implementation and then engage with development partners on how to design a more coordinated response to achieve the NDCs.

UNDP participated in all three events as an implementing agency of the NDC Partnership. Costa Rica, Uganda and Vietnam have also formulated mitigation actions and strengthened underlying data management systems in a range of sectors as part of the UNDP Low Emission Capacity Building (LECB) Programme.
