The Waste to Energy NAMA consists of two main activities to install and operate a landfill gas collection system, and its use for renewable electricity generation without reliance on fossil fuel.  Annual emission reductions are estimated at 109,262 tonnes.  

After a relatively small amount is used for on-site energy consumption, the remainder will be exported to the grid.  The activities will be transformational and transform the waste sector as presently there is a lack of capacity and equipment necessary for waste disposal, low public awareness, no recycling system, and will help satisfy growing energy consumption needs.
