Empowering Women and Delivering Electricity Access to the Off-Grid Population in Viet Nam

This technical brief was designed to inform policy makers in the review and update of Viet Nam's Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC). It aims to highlight how gender-sensitive climate policies can foster miitigation strategies in the energy sector, as well as to raise awareness on how women benefit from access to electricity and the importance of promoting women's initiatives in designing renewable energy technologies. The brief also proposes recommendations to adjust policies and for gender-sensitive electrification projects.
